American Airlines outlines new 2019 service to Berlin TXL

American Airlines 767

American Airlines Route News:

On 21. August 2018 American Airlines announced the opening of a brand new service to Berlin Tegel Airport.

The route will connect Berlin directly with Philadelphia for the first time. Starting from 7th of June 2019 they will offer 4 weekly flights. Sadly the service will be seasonal and stopped on 28th September 2019.

The route will be operated by a Boeing 767-300ER with 160 seats in Economy Class, 21 in Economy Plus and 28 in Business Class.

Flights from Philadelphia will depart at 06:15 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Arrival in Berlin is scheduled for 08:35 a.m. the next day.

The flight back will leave Berlin at 10:35 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Arrival in Philadelphia is scheduled for 01:40 p.m. the same day.

Hopefully American Airlines will be satisfied with the demand on this route and possibly offer more services to Berlin in the future. Currently Berlin is lacking long haul services especially to America after the fall of Air Berlin in October 2017. United and Delta Air Lines operate flights from Berlin Tegel to Newark EWR and New York JFK respectively at this time.

I have already tried American Airlines on my way from London to Los Angeles and was very satisfied. You can learn more about the flight by clicking here.
